My computer hard drive on my HP ZBOOK crashed, so I had to purchase a new one. When I installed the drive and the software from disks, it is now telling me to activate my Windows. I don't know where the activation code is, or how to retrieve it off of my BIOS.
I called Microsoft and didn't get anywhere with the agent. He told me that I needed to purchase a new product key. Well that is not going to happen, the one that was on my ZBOOK was working just fine. My computer is registered and I don't know why he couldn't just pull my file up and give me the Activation Code that came pre-installed on my laptop.
I need help with this issue so I can get the full effect of my software. Can ANYONE please tell me how to get the Activation Code that was already on my laptop, so I can get back to enjoying my computer??
