I just migrated from a Server 2012 Environment to Server 2016 Environment. The 2012 Server had ADCS (Certification Authority) and only had Certificates listed for our Domain Controllers.
I am removing the 2012 Server completely and am looking to clean things up a bit. Is there a problem with revoking the issued Certificates and then removing the ADCS role? I'm thinking of following this guide (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...dows-enterprise-certification-authority-and-r) but I want to make sure I won't screw anything else up in the domain. We do not have clients remoting into our network (which I understand, is one of the main reasons to have ADCS) and as far as I'm aware, there is no need to have a CA in our domain.
Anyway, just looking for advice on whether or not I can continue and remove ADCS without any negative effects on our domain.
Thanks in advance,
