Anyone researched the use of this dynamic link library used by Steve Gibsons
website | Shields Up facility which,
appears to alter IE7's Internet Zone security setting, (when URL changes to
https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2 ), i.e.
the Internet Zone slider disappears and "Custom Settings" have taken effect
?

ps ...asked this a while ago and got shouted at by one or two people who
instantly rushed to the defense of Steve Gibson but, when I asked them to
replicate the above effect, they then remained strangely quiet, and were
never heard from again.

oops ! ..and scratch that. It seems that almost anything can knock IE7
Internet Security Zone setting fromslider "High" to custom.

....anyone know what's cuasing my Internet Explorer 7 Internet Zone "High"
setting to keep changing from "High" to "Custom" ?

I've Disabled a lot of BHO's / IE7 add-ons.

....oh,...so simple, yet it took so long for the penny to drop !
....when the IE7 box pops up advising that outgoing information could be seen
by anyone on the web, and one clicks okay to porceed, e.g. a Google search
where one has typed in couple of key search words into Gogle's slot, THIS is
when IE7's Security Internet Zone switches itself from "High" to "Custom"
