Good day,
I have two Server 2012 R2 Standard domain controllers that I'm looking to do an in place upgrade to Server 2016.
I've done some searching and did find this video that talks about doing an in-place upgrade:

The AD Prep (domain and forest) looks straight forward.
My plan is to upgrade one domain controller and then run it and test it and get the feel for it and then soon after do an in-place upgrade of the second domain controller.
Right now the domain is at the 2008 functional level.
The steps in the video look relatively straight forward, but then sometimes things are more complicated than in videos.
I'm looking for tips and especially looking to hear from anyone who has experience, whether or not it was straight forward or if they had issues.
I can say that one of the DC's is a Hyper-V VM and the other is a physical server.
