OI am having issues with accessing a file share (part of a DFS - with a 2 node replication) from a non-domain computer - (Windows based CNC machine - but no access to logon password etc). This used to work OK, but I recently changed the location of the active directory servers.
I had active directory loaded on 3 servers that were also hypervisors. I created 3 new VM active directory servers, and demoted the base hypervisors. All works Ok in the network otherwise (except for a fax service issue).
The folder is shared, 'Everyone' has full control, as do the administrator
In security, 'Everyone' has full control as well
I have done this as well
To enable anonymous access on a local workstation or server computer
1.Open Local Security Settings. Click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Local Security Policy.
2.In the console tree, double-click Local Policies, and then click Security Options.
3.In the details pane, right-click Network access: Let Everyone permissions apply to anonymous users, and then click Properties.
4.On the Local Security Settings tab, click Enabled, and then click OK.
Any ideas what else to try?
