I have several Win2016 Standard servers with the same Windows Update problem. I have a group policy defined to point the servers to the WSUS server and to set them for download and notify. I've run gpresult and confirmed the policy is being applied, and that the WSUS policy for user workstations is being denied. Yet no matter what I do, the registry entries for AUOptions and NoAutoUpdate are set to 1. If I manually change the entries to 3 and 0, as soon as I click away in the registry they are set back to 1 and 1. If I use sconfig and set to 'download', running sconfig again has it set to manual.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. As things stand now, the servers do not automatically check for updates, and when I manually initiate a check through the GUI any updates are automatically installed. Not a good situation for a production environment.
Thanks,
Joe
