crashed & had to reinstall

my computer crashed so I reinstalled everything. stated with dell preinstalled vista than upgrade to 7 which I was using but after it crashed it will not let me use product key. gives me error DX80072ee2. Help! I have 1 other computer using 7 and a lap top using 10 which I hate using 10? Help!
