Installing Windows 7?

I’m running Windows Vista home premium SP2 (X86) on a HP A1709N with 1 GB ram. Since Windows is unable to keep itself updated automatically, I wanted to upgrade to Windows 7. The version i have on DVD is the 64 bit version. I tried downloading the 32 bit edition from microsoft’s download page, but it only has French, and, i don’t have a way to make recovery disks... how do I go about obtaining the english version of Windows 7 32 bit? I don’t want to purchase a second license since mine works. Thanks!
