I'm trying to listen to audio remotely on a Windows Server 2012 via an RDP connection.
I'm unable to turn on the volume as it states "The Audio Service is not running."
When attempting to run Windows Audio in Services.msc I get the following error message:
Windows could not start the Windows Audio service on a Local Computer.
Error 1297: A privilege that the service requires to function properly does not exist in the service account configuration. You may use the Services Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in (services.msc) and the Local Security Settings MMC snap-in (secpol.msc) to view the service configuration and the account configuration.
I've seen this error on a few other forums, but they specific resolutions that were not related to Windows Audio.
Note: The remote server does not have any audio peripherals connected.
