Unable yo install antivirus on WIndows 8

I reinstalled Windows on my system and tried to install an antivirus program. It downloaded successfully, and when I tried to install it, after clicking yes on the first popup windows, it vanished without any error report or anything. I seriously need to install it as other programs are also unable to be installed with an error report of 0xc0000005. Any help will be appreciated.
