After installing the updates for 6.2018, the next day the server became unstable - first people lost the ability to connect to network shares and after a few minutes access to AD was lost and the server grew progressively worse where it would not respond to local mouse or keyboard activity. A restart brought things back, but by the next day the same issue happened.
I restored the server to before the update was installed to correct the issue.
I waited and searched forums for the issue and upon not finding anything tried the update for 9.2018 to see if Microsoft had fixed the issue. The same thing happened. Again restored the server to before the update was installed.
I have three 2012 Std servers and four 2012R2 Std servers.
The only server with the issue is one 2012 Std server that hosts AD along with Exchange 2013. (I know but management is not springing for a separate AD server - not a large load on the server.)
All the other servers run with the latest updates fine.
Need direction on how to find and correct the cause.
