Metadata Cleanup of dead domain controller Server 2016

I have two 2016 DCs, one physical, one virtual, not on the same box. The virtual (DC02) was being very bad and stopped replicating and giving no end of problems, and ended up having to force demote, which according to a TechNet blog I was working off of involved the following steps, referencing the following article: Step-By-Step: Removing A Domain Controller Server Manually

1) delete bad DC in AD

2) delete bad DC in Sites & Services

3) use metadata cleanup to remove metadata

However, during step 3 when I tried to enter "remove selected server <servername>", it gave me a syntax error

I also tried to use the "list servers in site" in NTDSUTIL, but I only see the good DC (I'm assuming because the steps had me delete the other one?)

How can I now clean the metadata from this now-deleted Server 2016 DC? (also I should add: The good/valid DC has all roles and GC)

Many thanks!
