Good morning.
I manage a small network of about 50 machines or so. The server is Server 2012 R2 Standard. We have a bunch of clients all running Windows 7 Professional and connected to the domain. When I try and navigate from the server to \\machinename\c$ I can browse that local drive.
We have recently bought some windows 10 machines. These have Windows 10 (1709). When I try and connect to any local drive on these I get the error ...
Windows Cannot Access \\name\c$
Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise there might be a problem with your network. Error code 0x80070035.
I have turned off the firewall, and UAC. I have also tried WDS to deploy a new installation all to no avail. The Windows 10 machines can browse to each other and to Windows 7. The Windows 7 machines can also browse to the Windows 10 machines. The only issue is that the server cannot browse to the Windows 10 machines. I have also tried accessing by IP address. I can ping then.
Please help.
Thank you.
P.S. I am logging in as the Domain Administrator.
