Hi! We have some troubles with refs-formated partitions. The admin of the Microsoft Community advised me to post the question here in this forum. Members of the German Windows Administrators Forum (www.administrator.de) are thinking that there is a bug in the Operation System.
If Win10-Workstation uses a refs-partition created by Win2016 (native as well as virtual) the partition is not accessible by Win2016 afterwards. Also a refs-partition created by Win10 isn't accessble by Win2016.
We checked the integrity of the partition and Windows (2016 and 10) reported no problems. We are running Win2016 as server and Win10 as Hyper-V-client, both with all recent updates by Microsoft. We needed direct access to the refs-partition by Win2016 for copying data via USB.
Kind regards, Peter
