Forest Trust - 2016 to 2000

Has anyone upgraded their FFL/DFL to Windows Server 2016 yet whilst they have a Forest trust with a Windows 2000 domain?

The trust is only used for conditional forwarding DNS requests and I am interested to know if this will continue to work, I presume it will(if not officially supported).
