All apps revert to default when Windows 8 is rebooted

Hello,


Please help!


I am using a desktop running Windows 8.


Every time I reboot the computer all apps are restored to their defaults, so when next the computer is turned on, I have to reconfigure all apps I need to use.


This is frustrating.
