Importing photes

Hi, so I am trying to import all my photos from my iPhone on to my Lenovo PC. I plugged in my phone and trusted the computer and when I went to download to the photos the computer only recognized like 800 pictures out of my 2000 on my phone. I cant get the PC to recognized past 2017 and I have pictures dating back to 2015.
