non AD user to map network drive

I have a windows 2012 server , there is a active directory , most of our staff login to the AD , they of course can map the shared drive .

For some reason , a group of staffs do not login to the AD .

Just would like to ask if if this group of staffs ( not login to AD ) can map the shared drive without login to AD ? in other words , if I would like to share a drive to this group of staff to map , they must need to login AD first ?
