I get the following when running the GUI BPA from my 2016 DC.
There has been an error while trying to set the process wide execution policy. (Inner Exception: Windows PowerShell updated your execution policy successfully, but the setting is overridden by a policy defined at a more specific scope. Due to the override, your shell will retain its current effective execution policy of Unrestricted. Type "Get-ExecutionPolicy -List" to view your execution policy settings. For more information please see "Get-Help Set-ExecutionPolicy".)
Scope Execution Policy
MachinePolicy Remote Signed
UserPolicy Unrestricted
Process Undefined
currentUser undefined
LocalMachine undefined
I have set the group policy under default preferences |computer| Policies | Admin templates | Windows Components |
Windows Powershell | turn on script exection to enabled, allow all scripts
Can anyone assist. 1) what policy do i need to get BPA working for each of these scopes?
2) how do I set the policy for each of these scopes so it doesnt get overwritten?
3) Do i need to use local security policy as well as group policy?
thanks for any assistance. This has been going on for 2 weeks and I have reached frustration.
