There are no moderators per se, but threads can be removed by the host. As
Joseph works for Microsoft, he likely forwarded the thread to whomever is
currently in charge of the nntp server farm.

No..I am not a moderator, I just check in on groups every now and again and
try to provide help where I can. When I see posts that arent technical or
helpful in nature I mark them as closed, thats why you see the posting. It
will disappear eventually.

Just try to keep the posts technical in nature so that the group is used
for its intended purpose.

Well then if you are marking the posts as closed, why haven't we seen
hundreds of posts by you flagging Alias, Adam, Frank, myself, and others?

Mostly because I dont have the time. I do this as a side gig to my real
day to day job, so I might show up for a few days here and there and then I
might be gone for most of a week (like I will be this week). Its nothing
personal. Right now I am trying to shut down some of the chatter I have
seen for things that arent technical and glaring spam oriented. Maybe we
will get to a point where I can close out the other technically closed
issues as well, we'll see.

Joseph,

You guys at Microsoft need to take a detailed look at MVP Carey Frisch's
posts. He many times posts flat out wrong information, is rude, and
has failed to live up to the qualifications of being an MVP.
Unless Microsoft has so lowered the qualifications and what they expect,
then something needs to be done about Carey Frisch.
Microsoft should be embarrassed by his ignorance. Hopefully, it takes
more than just being an obnoxious sycophant to maintain MVP status.
Carey Frisch is an idiot and does not deserve to be an MVP. How he even
got to be an MVP is an embarrassment.... doesn't say much in Microsoft's favor.

Please, fix the problem that Carey has become.

Take care,

Michael

I understand about time constraints.... any help or attention from someone
at Microsoft is greatly appreciated by many in these forums.

You too, Joseph.
