Anyone else having digitally signed driver problems?
I have a laptop & desktop (bith Dell) running Windows 7 that I upgraded to Windows 10 and then reverted back to Windows 7.
After the latest Windows 7 updates, the laptop wod not boot up & the desktop would boot up but not connect to my homew network through neither wireless LAN nor ethernet cable.
On the desktop, I checked the network drivers & low & behold, it says they were not digitally signed. After trying to install drivers from Dell multiple times, each time it would say they are not digitally signed.
So for the desktop, I opted to use the option of pressing F8 on restart which brought up the ability to disable digital signing of drivers. BEHOLD-wireless network & wired LAN connectivity were back!!!!!!
The laptop was a different story-it would tell me Windows has encountered a ptoblem-start normally (which it never would) or launch system repair. I launched system repair multiple times with no success-even tried to use the Windows 7 disc that came with laptop. Nothimg was successful.
The i thought maybe it’s the same problem-digitally signed drivers. Sure enough, F8 on reboot, disable digital signing of drivers & i had a functionimg laptol again.
