Help - No Volume

I have no volume when trying to use Windows Media Player 7.1. Other
installed players(IrFanView, Real Player,Music Match) work fine.
The volume is not muted and I even tried to reinstall Windows Media
Player with no change. It's very aggravating when someone sends a media
file and I don't have the option to use "open-with". Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

You might try the microsoft multimedia newsgroups for more expertise in that
area. I think it was microsoft.public.win98.multimedia (at least that was
one of them).

Do you get volumne everywhere else? In addition, is there a digital tab that
is checked or unchecked in the advanced settings of the volume control panel
and if so check it or uncheck it. Please post back with results.

Try pressing the F8 key.

To open a file with another application, left-click once to
highlight the file, then hold down the "Shift" key, right-click
and select "Open with".

I do have volume for everythingelse on the computer. I do not have a digital
tab associated with the Volume Control Panel's Advanced button. Thanks
