Is it possible to upgrade Server 2012 standard Evaluation to Server 2012 R2 standard ?

How can we upgrade windows server 2012 standard Evaluation to windows Sever R2 standard without formatting the PC as client is hesitant to format due to his softwares on server, apps and many users continuously working 24hrs X 7 days . hence kindly provide solution of upgrading without formatting.
