formatting an external drive in ExFat

I have purchased a "GDrive" 1 TB drive. It is not recognized by Wondows 10. In the past I have solved this by formatting this drive at the outset as an ExFat Drive. I cannot remember how to do this, but believe it is accessed through Disk Management somehow. There is nothing on this drive currently. It is brand new and I am hoping to copy the information from another ExFat drive to it as a back up. HELP!?
