Have a year plus old Dell XPS 27 all in one. Shipped with Windows 10 Home. After the many frustrations with Windows updates causing hours of lost time, broken system, I decided to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. Went to store and bought the upgrade. System did the download, restarts, etc. When the system came up, I went to SETTINGS > ACTIVATION only to find it all failed, and the failure left me w/ a de-activated ENTERPRISE edition (which is higher than Pro?). A call to customer service: Yeah, we can't roll it back. How about we re-install Home and try it again? WHICH MEANS YOU HAVE TO REINSTALL EVERY F****** PROGRAM YOU SPENT WEEKS INSTALLING ON THE COMPUTER WHEN IT WAS BRAND NEW. Only to put you back to HOME edition where you started w/ no guarantee it won't happen again.
MICROSOFT you have some major quality assurance problems. Major.
I insisted upper tier tech support call tomorrow and see if we can fix this some other way.
