DirectAccess multisite security group and GPO's

Hi All,

Looking for advice on a couple of queries. We have a single DA entry point with 2 DA servers in the cluster using NLB. The security groups currently contain Windows 7 and Windows 10 computer accounts. The DirectAccess GPO's were auto created with the default names. We will be enabling multisite shortly and I am looking for answers to the following:

  • Before enabling multisite should I remove the current DA security group and replace with one that only has Windows8\10 computer accounts as members? Presumably during the multisite wizard I will be prompted to specify the Windows 7 security group for each entry point?
  • During multisite configuration I believe it asks to select the GPO, do I just select the auto created DirectAccess clients GPO?
