Hi all,
we have three virtual Windows Server 2016 (1607, German, normal installation with GUI), completely patched until 2018-12 (including the last SSU). Updates were installed through Windows Update and there were no problems for earlier updates.
On all three Windows Update says, there are no updates available except Windows Defender/Antivirus definitions. I tried multiple times.
The update "2019-01 Kumulatives Update für Windows Server 2016 für x64-basierte Systeme (KB4480961)" (german title) is available through Microsoft Update Catalog but the installation fails with error message "This update is not applicable to your computer". (And of course, i've downloaded the correct msu)
Because there are important security updates regarding .NET Framework, ASP.NET, ... the updates should be installed (two servers are webservers with IIS, ASP.NET, ...)
The following screenshot shows the update history after trying to get the latest update multiple times.
