The Problem

I was going to manually install Windows Updates on my Windows Server 2012 R2. I had a a few update choices I could check or uncheck. I decided to see if there were any other updates to look through as well so I clicked "Check for updates" it ran and said no updates are available, and now I cannot access the list of updates to install. They are missing. There were about a dozen (if you include optional updates) before I clicked that and now there are none.

I checked "View update history," and it doesn't say I installed any updates today (yes server's date matches today) history does show some installed updates two days ago so it isn't like the history got lost.

Extra Details

I need to install the windows updates manually because the computer is a bug-fix testing computer. A collection of Windows Updates installed in December broke our code. This fresh Windows Server 2012 virtual machine was made because I need to install all pre-December 2018 updates and then install the remaining updates one at a time to determine which update broke the code. (so they know where to look to fix the code).

Hospitals are relying on the services provided so it is important get this resolved.
