problem with Hotmail

Hello:

I hate Live Hotmail but have resigned myself to it. Here is my problem.

When I go to the log in page my account name is already there so I type in
my password. I am then taken to a page that asks me to create an account. I
obviously already have an account.

The only way to get to my mail is to type in the URL. Only then am I taken
to the page containing my email.

Right now I don't use Outlook. I go directly to the bookmarked sign in page
from IE.

How can I remedy this?

Which "log in page" and URL are you talking about?

If I go to www.hotmail.com it takes me to http://login.live.com/... (lot's
more stuff), I type in my password, and I am in.

Why ask here? Do you see HOTMAIL in this group's name?
