VLAN tagging not working

I have a switch on the network that expects packets to be tagged. The network card I use doesn't support VLAN tagging so I'm using the 2012R2 Adapter Teaming functionality to set up the required VLAN. For some reason it doesn't seem to be working though. I set up Wireshark to capture network traffic hoping to see some tagged frames comming out of my machine but can't see any. I can't even ping the gateway. The switch is in trunk mode as it should. Any ideas?
