VHD Sets - OS Supported?

Hi guys.

Create Hyper-V VHD Set files

I can't seem to find whatever or not VHD Sets are supported for OS versions prior to Server 2016, like 2008 and 2012.

Can you answer that?

Also, in the same matter - I know its possible to convert Shared VHDX to VHD Set - but is it possible to convert it back?
