I am forced to go to another web site

I have a problem when I click on a web site sometime I am forced to go to
another web site without being ask to, I would like to know what I can do
it.( its driving me crazy ) its been for several weeks now. I am useing
Firefox 2.0.0.7 and sometimes it stops web sites from loading.

malware/virus status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what
