I have a Dell Poweredge T330 that came pre installed with Windows. I created a VM and wanted to install Server 2016 on it. Unfortunately i found out that a physical drive can no longer be mounted in a VM. I have to use an image. Based on some information i found online, i downloaded an iso of the eval version from Microsoft website. Once i installed it, i used the DISM command to apply the key. Unfortunately even though this was successful, it tells me Windows is not activated. When i try to activate it , i get an error "We can's activate Windows on this device.If windows was pre-installed on this device,you need to contact the manufacture"
