Upgrade Windows Vista to Windows7

Hello,


I want to upgrade Windows Vista Home premium to Windows 7 Home premium. When running Windows 7 Upgrade advisor I get following error message

"Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor was unable to reach the Microsoft server for compatibility information. Check your internet connection"

Internet connection is working fine.

Is this the only way to perform upgrade via the W7 upgrade advisor tool?
