Windows mail in Vista

For the last month and a half I have been unable to get my windows mail on my desktop. I can get comcast mail but not windows mail. I have Vista on my laptop. When I go to Windows Mail I am asked to sign in, which I do then it returns to sign in again and again. No error message.
