replication error between parent and child domains

Hi


For forest with parent domain in a site and one child domain in another site. Win 2016 in parent domain controllers and Win 2016+Win 2012 R2 in child domain controllers. All are VMs.


The problem is that replication is stopped between the parent domain controllers and the child domain controllers.


When run command netdom query fsmo on the child domain controllers, it returns below error in schema master.


Schema master *** Warning: role owner is undefined


Any help please.
