Windows Me Startup sound

hello all. i am trying to find the Windows 2000/Windows Me startup sound but
i cannot seem to find it. i do not have a Windows 2000 or Windows Me disc.
does anyone know where i can find it? please let me know.

I don't recall the specific folder or location, however, if you look in the
Control Panel, you should see something in reference to "Sounds and Audio
Devices" or something similar. Open that and select the 'Sounds' tab.
There you should find the different Windows sounds and the individual sound
applied to a specific action or event. The 'browse' button will show you
additional .wav files available and the 'play' button (right arrowhead) will
allow you to preview the sound.
You can also assign any .wav file (possibly other sound formats, but, I know
the .wav files work), do a search of your computer for *.wav and you
will find many that can be used. The actual Windows startup sound should be
amongst those found in your search.
