I'm on the WinXP PosReady update train, and most things have been working ok.
But update 4486463 this week is weird: it pretends to install, it shows up in the Programs and Updates list as having been installed...but windows update says that it needs to still be installed.
I've uninstalled it. I've let update automatically update it. I've downloaded it from the windows update catalog and installed it manually...no matter what I do, this update says it hasn't been applied when it sure pretends to be.
Since the browser-based update method appears to also be broken, there's no way for way for me to skip this erroneous update request. Is there some manual way to resolve this??
