We just recently purchased a new server that has Windows 2016 x64 Server Standard Edition. It replaces an old server that was using Windows 2003 server Standard (x86). We have 3 workstations in the shop that we map drives from the 2016 Server to access the files. The rest of the workstations are Windows 10 and a few with Windows 7. When the Windows 2000 workstations initially try to connect, it is VERY slow and times out. I have to wait about 5 minutes to double click the failed mapped drives before they will connect to the 2016 Server. I have SP4 on all 3 of the Windows 2000 clients. What can I do to make the initial connections for the mapped drives work without having to wait 5 minutes to connect them? This problem didn't exist when connecting to the 2003 Server.
Thanks,
