I would like to know why Server 2016 monthly updates application is very slow comparing to Server 2012.
Very few 2016s, most 2012 and 2008 servers.
While Server 2012 takes 10-15 min for applying 2-3 monthly Security updates (350-500MB), Server 2016 goes for 1hour + for the same updates.
Just monitored one clean server (in terms of apps). It is new MDT server that not in production.
Yes it has just one Virtual CPU, but I don't think it make impact on updates application.
More than one hour Preparing on progress bar until getting 100%.
I checked couple of posts from year 2016 about this "slow" with some general explanations.
Do other see the same behavior and what this related to?
Thx.
