A little background: I run a comic shop and we use a Windows Server 2012 machine to host an intranet site for managing some inventory. It's a single server (on a workgroup) with several other machines on the network interacting with a network share and the intranet site. We want to use a webcam to upload some pictures to our intranet site, but we need an SSL to use the webcam.
I am looking for the best way to do this without having to expose the intranet to the internet. Currently we are using DNS Masq to re-direct a url internally to our site.
I don't seem to be able to set up a CA on the server because I don't have a domain set up? I would like to avoid having to purchase a domain name and an SSL through an outside company if possible here.
Any suggestions on how I should proceed?
