I successfully configured the Internal ADFS server (2012 r2) with a valid SSL certificate. ADFS is the server is working fine. I want to add an ADFS proxy server that is a standalone server. When I was trying to create the trust relationship between ADFS and ADFS proxy, I was getting a very weird error.
An error occurred when attempting to establish a trust relationship with the federation service. Error: Unauthorized. Verify that the service account has administrative access on the target Federation Server.
