I have a Windows 2016 server which is stuck in getting Windows updates.
I have moved the server to a test OU and make sure it is not getting any GPO that points it to the internal WSUS server.
The server can commmunicate to the the Microsoft Windows update site. I checked the "Check for update" button, still, there is no progress after waiting for a long time.
I hava also use the following to rename the softwaredistribution and the catroot2 folders but same result:
net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.20190225a
Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.20190225a
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver
Please advise if you know if there is anything else I can try.
