Network with windows 10, windows 7 and windows xp

I have been searching through threads for a few hours attempting to figure this out on my own to no avail. I have three computers all on the same network (ethernet) and on "Workgroup." Initially, the Windows 10 machine could connect to both the others for copying files, etc., but neither of the others could connect to the Windows 10 machine. I kept getting "Access denied" messages on both the Windows 7 and Windows XP computers. I have shared everything conceivable on the 10 and finally did a Network reset after reading a thread with that suggestion. Voila! Now the Windows 7 computer can access the 10 computer just fine. The Windows XP computer can at least SEE the Windows 10 in the Workgroup, but it still cannot connect. I get the same message that access is denied. I can try mapping the drive from the XP computer, but the "OK" button is grayed out if I click on the Windows 10 computer showing up in the Workgroup. In other words, it will not expand when I click on the little plus sign next to it.
