Is the photo sharing app CLUSTER from FOTOLOCE safe to use on Windows XP?

It runs fine, but I am concerned these apps might secretly upload files without my permission under the pretense of simply uploading the photos I select to share with friends.

Is there a way to see if a photo-sharing app like CLUSTER is doing this?
