Hi hope someone can help,
I have looked through some of the other posts relating to this issue and none of those suggestions have worked. I am not seasoned pro setting up servers, its my first 2016 Standard edition, so please be patient with me.
The server is all set up and running and everything is working fine except for one thing, we can't get to our company web site from within our network. I can ping the ip address but cant view it.
I have seen the comment about not using the same domain internally as your web site domain, unfortunately that's what I have done and the previous company I was with did that and worked fine, I have added the www A record to the DNS with the web site ip address, it did say it couldn't create the reverse lookup but it did still create the A record.
We are not using IIS, the web site is hosted externally, I have disabled the firewall, what I have noticed is if I type in www.companydomain.co.uk it strips out the www and try's to connect to http://companydomain.co.uk
I am now running round in circles trying to workout how to resolve this any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Mark
