Windows Wallpaper will not display.

I uninstalled a Malware program and after I rebooted windows Vista the
desktop wallpaper was gone. I was able to change the background color but It
would not display any Pictures not even the default windows backgrounds. I
reported the problem to microsoft and the sent me Windows Live One care. It
did not fix the problem. What ever loads the wallpaper is damaged. I failed
to set a system restore point when I install windows Vista so I can't go back.

Try this. Go to Control Panel\Ease of Access Center and click on "Make the
computer easier to see". Make sure "Remove background images" does not have
a checkmark.

System Restore is on by default when you install Vista and all you say is
that YOU did not make a restore point, vista does.
start>all programs>.accessories>.system tools.> system restore
