Task Bar Gone?

C

Corin

Am I crazy, or did my task bar disappear? When I am looking at my desktop I
have a task bar... and I could have sworn that for the last couple months
(since installing Vista) I had a task bar visable when I was in Internet
Explorer. ("You don't know what you got til its gone." :p) Only problem
is, NOW when I'm in Internet Explorer, I DON'T have a task bar. I NOW have
to navigate between programs by using the ALT+TAB. I don't know of anything
else that has changed on this computer.

Any ideas on how to get the task bar up an running for while I'm in Internet
Explorer?
--Thanks

Have you tried this?
Right-click on the taskbar, choose PROPERTIES. In the taskbar tab, check the
box next to "Keep the taskbar on top of other windows." You might also
uncheck "autohide the taskbar" if that's checked.

Unfortunately, the boxes are marked appropriately. (i.e. check next to "Keep
the taskbar on top...", unchecked by "autohide...") Any other ideas?

Thanks.

PS

by the way... the task bar stays on top of Windows Mail, MSMoney, MSWord,
and the desktop... just not on top of Internet Explorer.

Hello,

It sounds like you may have accidentally enabled Internet Explorer's
kiosk mode.

Press the F11 key inside of internet explorer, and see if that fixes the
problem.

Re: PS

Go to IE7 >Tools and uncheck Full Screen. Or click on the Restore Down
icon, next to the Red X that closes the window.

You da' man!!! :-D With a six year old that jumps onto the computer to
"type"... when I'm not looking--(even though she isn't supposed to) I many
times find all kinds of keys pressed. I had NO IDEA! Didn't even know there
WAS a "kiosk mode." :-D

Thanks so much! :-D
