Windows 8 won't allow me to change the region on the dvd drive

Hi all,


I'm trying to set my dvd on my laptop to region 2 (UK and Europe) but its set on region 1.


Ive tried uninstalling, changing the settings but it comes up with

'Unable to update region setting: The drive reports that it requires media of the destination region (region 2) so please insert appropriate media and try again'


Ive done it with a dvd in so running out of ideas
