Folder View-How to Keep Constant

J

John

I want to view all folders the same. I want detailed view showing file
sizes, extensions, date modified etc.

I do NOT want multimedia view with Artist etc.

I get a folder to the way I want it. Then using Tools-Folder Options, I tell
Vista make the other folders all the same.

Vista will not do that. Random folders come up in Mumtimedia View again

Help, please. This is very frustrating.

I finally found the answer burried deep inside Vista. How much more
difficult can this OS get? For those who don't know, right click folder,
Properties, Customize tab at the far right. Choose ALL. Why isn't this in
the Tools-Folder Options section!!!!!
Sorry, but this is a frustrating OS to master.

Choose "ALL" where? I don't see an "ALL" choice in the Customize tab...

Thanks,

He probably means:

Choose "Properties", select the "Customize" tab and under "Use this folder
type as a template", select "All Items"

OK, -that- I can comprehend. I guess my experience writing detailed work
instructions for computer related documents makes me never assume
anything... and when I don't see something that specifically maps to what
someone has posted here... I have to ask for clarification.

Thanks!

Lang
